Babar Azam is the joint fastest to the milestone in 81 innings and only the fifth batter to cross the landmark figure
Pakistan Captain Babar Azam reached 3000 runs in T20Is during sixth match that played between Pakistan and England at Gaddafi Stadium. He became the joint quickest to 3000 in T20I alongside Virat Kohli of India. Babar Azam reached the landmark in 81 innings, equalling India’s Virat Kohli who took the same number of innings to reach the milestone. And New Zealand batter Martin Guptill completed 3000 T20 international runs in 101 innings and India's Rohit Sharma take 108 innings to complete 3000 T20 internationals runs and Irish Paul Stirling completed 3000 T20 runs in 113 innings.
Babar Azam also became the second-fastest batter to score 8000 runs in T20 cricket overtaking Kohli, while West Indies legend Chris Gayle was the fastest to reach the milestone in 213 innings. While Kohli took 243 innings to get to the milestone and Babar Azam took 218 innings to do so.
